LATHAN MOORE SELECTED AS OPENER

FOR INSPIRATIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS SHOW

Moore’s “Love In Your Life” Aligns With ICM Message

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 4, 2011)—Blue Steel Records’Lathan Moore is set to introduce his single,

Love In Your Life” as the premiere performance at the

17th Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country Awards, scheduled to take place Friday, October 28, 2011 at 7:00 PM CST. The song, that has made a warm and memorable impression on country radio listeners since its release in November 2010 (CDX Vol. 512/11/8/10), will make its award show debut before an entirely new audience of hundreds among ICM fans and industry execs at Schermerhorn Symphony Center as well as a global audience via live stream on StageIt.com. The show is also scheduled air at a later date on a network TBD.

Moore will open the ICM Faith, Family & Country Awardstelecast and perform along with a stellar line-up of inspirational country talent including Ricky Skaggs, Lee Greenwood, Joey and Rory, and The Roys.

A-list artist nominees on the Top 5 ballot for this year’s awards include Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Ronnie Dunn, The Roys, Josh Turner, Randy Travis, The Grascals, Ricky Skaggs, The Oak Ridge Boys, Point of Grace and George Strait. Film honors finalists include a competitive Hollywood field; family-rated major box office contenders nominated include “Country Strong,” “Secretariat” and “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.”

“It is a blessing and an honor to be invited to perform at the ICM’s,” Moore said. “I was specifically asked to perform ‘Love In Your Life’ and truly feel it’s fitting for this occasion and the ICM mission overall.” Lathan joins an elite group of ICM openers, Charlie Daniels, Marty Raybon, Colin Raye and Dennis Agajanian, who have also set the pace for shows in previous years.

An uplifting journey through life, Moore’s sophomore single “Love in Your Life” (produced by Norro Wilson and Rick Holt) is easy to identify with; its easy-does-it melody will play over and over in your head long after the song has long ended. The lyrics are much like messages so often taught in Sunday school–reiterating the importance of God, our family, community and country. Country music staples such as honky-tonks, whiskey and women are noticeably absent, making “Love In Your Life” a song for everyone.

Past ICM Faith, Family and Country Award performers range in style and sound but unite the common thread of faith and values in music. Of the awards seventeen years, performers such as Hank Williams Jr., Ricky Skaggs, Randy Houser, Craig Morgan, Wynonna, The Oak Ridge Boys, Bellamy Brothers, Andy Griggs, Jamie O’Neal, Lonestar and Merle Haggard have taken to the stage to share their song.

Raised in Harrisburg, Illinois, a mining community, Moore values family, music and hard work–the same qualities he sings about. His journey has taken him from Illinois to Texas to Tennessee where he’s now settled in to make music his life. The quintessential country artist found his home at Blue Steel Records where he signed with the indie label in 2008. His first single, entitled “Beautiful Girl,”from his debut CD was released to radio in March 2010 and earned Moore the “DISCovery Award” from Music Row’s Robert K. Oermann. Currently, Lathan Moore is in the process of recording his sophomore album set for an early 2012 release.
